I have been searching for astronomical clocks in The Baltic cities of Germany. I understand that there are a few still intact in Lund, and Stockholm. Considering the intimidating tariffs of most hotels since the currency has been combined into The Euro, tourist offices have found accomodations for me in private homes. Despite inconvenient locations, I have found their facilities superior to any hotel. I don\'t think Sweden monetary system has joined The Euro, but are private accomodations possible? What rates can I expect? What are access to public transport like? Thank you.

A first tips is what swedish people call "Vandrarhem". It is part of the network "Hostelling international/Youth hostel". There is not age limit and the quality is quite good.
