Personnally what I really find amazing in Sweden is that you don't need to go visit a castle to see something beautiful. For sure Drottningholm or Gripsholm are wonderful and it was great to visit them (especially with the great guide I had that day !), but just watching the richly-coloured architecture you can find (for instance) in Stockholm made me enjoy the trip.

I totaly agree ... Gamla Stan is marvelous

Yep, Nordiska Museet is a fairly interesting museum to visit .. though they haven't got that much to show. The building is far more impressive!
