J'ai une question vache.
En suédois et en anglais, on peut écrire comme ca:

"all full- and part-time workers"
"alla hel- och deltidsarbetare"

Apparemment ca s'apppelle "Suspended compounds" en anglais.

Suspended Compounds*

With a series of nearly identical compounds, we sometimes delay the final term of the final term until the last instance, allowing the hyphen to act as a kind of place holder, as in

* The third- and fourth-grade teachers met with the parents.
* Both full- and part-time employees will get raises this year.
* We don't see many 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old children around here.

Be careful not to overuse this feature of the hyphen; readers have to wait until that final instance to know what you're talking about, and that can be annoying.

Est-ce que vous savez commen on fait en francais?
Par exemple:
"mono- and multi-channel"
C'est correct, ca?:
"mono- et multi-canal"?

"mono- et multi-canal" me semblent correct.
Par contre, j'écrirais "mono- ou bilingue".

A moins de préparer une thèse sur le grammaticalement correct en français, personne ne peut nous reprocher de faire une faute sur ce point de détail :P

bon exemple, "bi- ou trilingue", merci.
Evidemment c'est un detail, mais vu que ca a une tête assez bizarre je voulais être sûr que ca soit correct (je suis en train de faire une correction de manuel d'utilisateur).

Cela existe aussi en allemand (très fréquent) mais je ne me suis jamais posé la question de savoir comment ça s'appelle... Tu veux le nom en français ou en suédois?

Ben le nom m'intéresse moins, c'est surtout la règle que je cherchais.
D'un autre côté avec le nom, ca serait plus facile de googler.

En suédois ca m'a l'air d'être underförstådd orddel. En francais?
