Gamla stan: the royal palace - Change of the guard
Stockholm - Sweden

The royal palace is locate in the old town of Stockholm. It has been rebuilt in the beggining of the 18th century when the old Tre Kronor castle was destroyed by fire in 1695. The palace is still inhabited but can be partly visited.
The guard change takes place on the outer courtyard. The guard comes by the Norrmalm bridge with their horses for the changing of the guards. Some "small" changes of the guards occur also without the horses and big ceremony.

Rivers, Canals and Klongs of Bangkok

Photo of the week

Bangkok - Thailand
Between the big rivers and canals of Bangkok, there are plenty of small canal, called klong. The city lives was organised around the Klongs. The houses on the side were accessible only by boat. It is possible to have a tour in the Klong Network and to see the constrast between the big and polluted street of Bangkok, the big building, and this small area with small house, nature, garden in the middle of Bangkok.
