Helsinki station - Helsingfors Finland

The railway station of Helsinki has some influence of what would be later the soviet architectur. It has been build by Eliel Saarinen between 1906 and 1911. It imposes by its size and the architectur. Among other the size of the granit blocks used to buil the station. The bog statue seems to be the guardian of the station. Their main task is to illuminate the entrance. They were sculpted by Emil Wikström.
